California 'Baby Bar Exam'
The First-Year Law
Student Examination (FYLSX)
The California 'Baby Bar Exam' is a
one-day exam,
comprised of four essays and 100 multiple-choice questions.
It is required primarily of
first-year students at California law schools
that are not accredited by the American Bar Association.
For those students, the Baby Bar
has been a prerequisite, since 1935,
for continuing in law school
and qualifying for the California Bar Exam after graduation.
